The Department of Accounting held teaching and research activities of national first-class professional construction

On the afternoon of May 6, 2021, Professor Liu Zhonghua, an expert of the National Education Commission and professor of the School of Accounting of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was invited to visit our college for guidance and exchange on the construction of the national first-class accounting specialty. President Peng Biyu received Professor Liu Zhonghua, and Professor Wang Zhibo, Director of the Department of Economics, attended the meeting, including Zhou Chuanli, Zhang Chengrui, Liu Shanmin, Liu Yan, Zeng Jianxin, Xiao Hailian and other teachers of the Department of Accounting.

Professor Liu Zhonghua introduced the application and construction of the national first-class professional construction sites of accounting majors in China's colleges and universities, and gave a detailed description of how to build the national first-class accounting major. He gave specific constructive suggestions on the construction of the national first-class major of accounting in our college around the professional orientation and characteristics, discipline construction, teaching reform and golden course construction, teacher training, collaborative education and practice base construction, scientific management, and improving the quality of student training. At the teaching and research meeting, the teachers also actively discussed with Professor Liu on the issue of professional construction.

Our accounting specialty was approved as a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site in March 2021. This teaching and research activity has strengthened the inter-school communication of the accounting discipline of our college, which is conducive to the concretization of the national first-class professional construction plan of accounting and the promotion of the high-quality development of the accounting discipline.
